COACHING AND EQUIPMENT
When your child is ready to Box, it is important to make sure that they have the right equipment. Items such as:
Hand wraps (To protect your hands).
Gum shield (To protect your mouth – only required when sparing).
Its is important to make sure that you see what boxing is all about. We recommend children to start a few weekend boxing clubs in order to see the sport and appreciate the sport. We are currently in talks with Mr Clyde McIntosh (Senior Coach and comes highly recommended by other ABA Gyms) to provide safety tips, food, dietry information and coaching. Clyde has trained many young kids to become great fighters.
Clyde’s qualifications is that he was an ABA Finalist, England International, Commonwealth Games Bronze Medallist and British Olympic Boxing Squad Member. At kidsboxing.co.uk, we only work with professionals. Any information to safety of children must be taken seriously. We are very proud to work alongside Clyde and are currently in talks to organise a boxing safety dvd for young starters. Clyde teaches the basic knowledge of boxing such as, stance, balancing, fitness skill, co-ordination, confidence and importantly discipline. With more than 20 years plus in boxing, Cylde has built a excellent reputation as a coach in boxing.
Clyde currently runs junior classes (8 – 12 years only) at Foleshill Leisure Centre on Saturdays from 10.30 am – 1130am. During Easter and Summer, Mr McIntosh does hold boxing training events. If your school wishes to have certain boxing activities for fitness for Easter and Summer terms then you can contact Mr McIntosh.
If you are still contemplating the idea of your child learning to box or is choosing Boxing as a sport to obtain a Duke of Edinburgh’s award then contact Mr McIntosh at clydemcintosh180@hotmail.com.
At kidsboxing, we try our utmost best to find the best possible buy for you. Currently with today’s recession its hard to find a bargain. However if you are a company and offer decent equipment at excellent prices, then talk to us, we might be able to accommodate you.
